We are very much
pleased to send you this program including more than 46 presentations (24 oral
and 22 poster) in 5 sessions. At present more than 30 pre registered
participants to this PPO-Asia International Symposium 2002 (A Memorial
Symposium of Late Prof. Teruo Watanabe, Hokkaido University).
2001 Osaka ISRGA offered recent
data on the growth of Asia continent. We believe further significant
discussions following to the OSAKA ISRGA results will be made in this PPO-Asia.
We presently realize that the results have deciphered much-complicated
accretion, subduction and collision processes of the Paleozoic orogens in the
formation of proto-Asian continent. We are confident that the symposium will
produce fruitful results and much contribution to geodynamics of Asia. See you
soon at Sapporo.
